Default Microphor Air Toilet

My air toilet compressor seems to come on too often. It has been running every 15 or 20 minutes for thirty seconds. Am I wrong in assuming this is excessive? If it is excessive I plan on checking (soap bubble test) all visible joints around the pump and those in the tank behind the toilet. Is there any other hidden spots? Any idea where the air tank or any one-way check valves are located? By the way I just rebuilt the compressor with a kit from Graingers. Thanks in advance for any info you have.

That's too often. The valves probably need rebuilding. The kits available from Microphor and isn't too expensive. Takes about 1.5 hrs and 2-3 cold ones! Mine did the same, so I also installed a switch to turn off the compressor prior to rebuilding the valves.

Our toilet compressor cycles every 20 minutes for maybe 5 seconds. Just haven't let that one boil to the top of the priority list. I also installed a on/off switch so I can control it. I'm interested in responses for sure.

Default Seal in slide probably leaking

My 12 volt DC air compressor would run every 10 to 15 minutes until I fixed the seal in the slide. Now, my 12 volt DC air compressor will run only once or twice in a 24 hour period, unless the toliet is being flushed. If toliet is being flushed, it will run about every third or fourth flush.

The 12 volt DC air compressor runs your slide seal and your toliet. Sometimes you can patch the slide seal. In order to access the slide seal, you must push the room inside the coach. From what I understand, you have to take a bunch of stuff off in order to do this. If you open your compartment doors under neath the slide, sometimes air will expel. I can't remember the cause, but I think it was because I left a switch on. If the underneath doors are open, then the slide will not work.

My 110 volt accessory air compressor will run every 15 to 30 minutes, therefore I keep it shut off. John and Shane found some of my leaks, but I still got a lot more to find. However, I have been chasing air leaks for the last 6 months. About the time I get one air leak fixed, another starts leaking.

Good luck

Nice to know I am not the only one with that continuing problem. Misery loves company. I have at least two I cannot find without going under the coach.

Charlie Vaughn has an ultrasonic sensor to find air leaks. Works like a champ and works where you can't get soap bubbles. A lot quicker, too. I have misplaced the infomation, but I'm sure Charlie will jump in and provide it. It is $275, but available on line for about $200. That is what is holding me back.

That's the one, Bill. Handy, but expensive.

I wonder if the ringing I have in my ears would drown out the new sounds?

Rob,

My tank rusted through on the bottom so I replaced it with a new tank. That has been about 4 or 5 years ago making it the same age as yours. They were just pin holes until you poked them with something. I had the same problem and frequency was increasing when we found the culprit.
