Default New Ball Joints on the Dog

I Know lots of people here travel with their pets, Honestly, wanting to travel with our dogs was a big part of finding our bird. So, i thought i would share our story and ask for your prayers on our journey with our new rescue dog.

Unfortunately, it's been a ruff dog year at our place We lost our standard poodle to bone cancer and our jack russell to a liver problem.

So, 5 months ago we adopted a very skinny neglected Golden doodle from a rescue organization.

Although the Vet and owner at the organization said they x-rayed everything, and gave him a clean bill of health, it turned out they were not very diligent.

It turns out the poor 3-4 year old boy needs 2 new hips, and he is getting the first one today. It seems both hips were broken at a real young age, and have been deteriorating every since. His irresponsible owners let him fall into a really bad place before abandoning him.

And of course the rescue and vet wont return my calls about it.

So, although i was into lots of projects on the bus, its dogs before birds, and he needs some steel ball joints.

Wish us luck, I will post his adoption Photo, and one from our trip to Wisconsin this summer.

Man, that's a tough start for your pooch. Hopefully, he'll have a much easier life ahead. I do believe rescue animals understand the new lease on life they've been given and do their best to repay it. Not that it would do much good, but you could always call the state vet board and file a complaint.

Good luck!

Mark, good on you for your rescue. Our daughter has a rescue Boston Terrier. We have an offspring of a mother that was dropped in our area. I do believe, as you do, that they make the best pets. I also believe that Jim would leave me at home if there were a choice to make. Being the wise woman I am, I never let him have to make the choice....

Usually shelter dogs come complete with a tail.

And sometimes they get into a little trouble.

We hope all goes well with the surgery.

They are all special.

Thanks Everyone Great pictures.

Unfortunately the poor guy didnt even have enough bone to get the hip replacement. the doc said it was falling apart. Amazing how dogs can learn to manage pain like that.

In the end they had to do a procedure called FHO. Not as great as the new hip, but he wont be in pain, and will have use of the leg, just not full range of motion.

Funny! I like the second photo with the guilty look! Jet has done that with the carpet and with a queen bed

Mark - hope your doggy does fine with the procedure!!

Default New Ball Joints on the Dog

Mark;

There's a blessing in store for you because of your love for one of God's special creatures.

You no doubt know how we feel about dogs and especially, Mr. J. B. Dogg who sends his wishes for a speedy recovery and says he'll be looking for a new friend soon.
