Default Allison MT40 Adapter/starter plate (?)

I've got an Allison MT40 that mounts to a plate that houses the flexplate and mounts the starter (see attached photo). It also has the access panel for torque converter bolts. Anyone know what this item is called? Thx.

I hear those are expensive
Is repair/replace impossible? Id like to find a way to make the MT40 work with my FT 391
