Default Which is best? Manual or automatic?

These videos demonstrate the performance advantage of automatic versus 'stick shift' transmissions. Would it be wise to install a manual setup such as a 13 speed road ranger gear box in our Wanderlodges?

There is a lot of information about manual vs auto if I was going to do one I would look at the super 10 or some other semi auto (very few clutch movements. I have considered doing a repower with the Cummins ISC or ISM with the Allison 3000 transmission double overdrive

What's more I have two 3208ATAAC rigs one with 13sp OD and the FC w/643 and Brownie box. FC weighs 10k more than the toter and has 100 less hp but will whip it in a drag race upto 50mph. After that the toter takes over. FC has 4:88 toter 4:11 w/20%OD. I like the gears for the grades but other than that the automatic is a better deal.
On 6% grades with comparitive GVW the toter is 10/15 mph faster. In stop and go traffic, it's obvious how much the clutch sucks.
