Default New '82 FC35 Owner, It's a lot of bus

Been kicking around the idea of buying one of these things, and finally did. All major systems seem to work, but what's the first thing I should overhaul/improve?

The community seems great, glad to be a part of it now.

First thing that breaks, won't take long, the bus will learn you.

Welcome David we're glad your here. Other than normal maintenance, getting up to speed, you fix whats broke. In your spare time you do upgrades.

The first thing to improve will be your bank account. Lol but all things love money. But one thing is for sure. If you own a blue bird and you are part of WOG. You are a winner already ready. This forum has saved me many times. So welcome to the zoo as they say here

We're across town in southern Maryland. How'd you find a place to park, Fredrick is pretty tight.

Belts and hoses. They're cheap and overdue for replacement.

I'm no mechanical expert, but I can provide emotional support.

You purchased Rockon75's bus? I believe some miles were put on it while under his care. A lot of the belts, hoses, bags, tires........may have been updated recently. Dig into his posts to avoid double work.

I would be looking over the fan belts, and i would be looking to see if the old girl has a swing radiator.
Of course tire dates are important, and you will find that Birds are power hogs, they love 12vdc power.
Keep the chargers turned on,or unhook the batteries when its staored.

The guys here are damnsharp, they can fix anything!!
