Default LV2V Our trip from Las Vegas to Vancouver

I purchased this coach, 1983 PT36, sight unseen, well not by my eyes, some others were helpful in describing the coach and taking photos. It's in Vegas and Marjory and I are driving it home to Vancouver starting tomorrow. I come to Rving late in life never having done any sort of on the road camping. I fell for the BB Wanderlodge line of coaches about six months ago and after plenty of homework and a trip to the rally in Quartzsite I decided that this was something I had to become a part of even considering that I had only seen one up close before my trip to Q'site. The one I had the opportunity to tour was Peter Haggins in Courtenay,BC of course after that I was hooked, a very fine example indeed.

I am presently cleaning and organizing the coach but mostly I am familiarizing myself with the systems. I am hunting down an errant short in the electrical system as I seem to be getting too many shocks including one from a light behind the valance in the bedroom. I have read the thread on electrical shocks and with the help of a few people will track this down.

I will post as I can as it will depend on wifi availability. The trip is approx. 1,300 miles and around 21 hours long.

Graham, congratulations on your new coach!

I have never used them but have heard that Freightliner in North Las Vegas is a good place to go for service...oil change, fuel filters things like that if you need it before the trip home. In fact it would be a good idea to carry some extra fuel filters with you. Do you know how long the coach has been sitting?

Graham, Welcome to WOG. You will be an "Old Hand" in no time.

If your talking a 110 short, lets get it sorted out or at least isolated. Is this short tripping a circut breaker? We need to find the circut that is causing the issue.

Is this a 12v short or 110? Either way we don't want a fire!
