Happy to report it is sold. It is a bittersweet feeling. We had it all packed for Q. I will introduce the buyer at a later date. It is not being delivered until next year. We are busy loading our gear into the Dynasty for the Q trip. Every morning I look at the bus and wonder if I made the right move. Time will tell. The new owner is rebuilding a shed for the Bird. I am sure he will be on the forum. Thanks for the nice comments on our Baby.

Congratulations, Bruce. I don't think anyone would not understand your "bittersweet" feelings. We are but caretakers. If I am remembering correctly didn't your Bird have hundreds of thousands miles on it? I may be mixed up. Would you mind sharing the mileage?

Congratulations Bruce! I'm glad it's sold. I really didn't need two birds, can stop dreaming now.

I'm surprised it took this long to sell! If I had an indoor storage place I think I would have bought this awesome bird!!! I've followed it since Robert bought bought it.

Tim: The odometer does not work. No one know the mileage. When Robert bought it someone did search of all the NASCR race locations. They assumed he drove to all of them. Some said 500,000 miles 0thesr said a million. If you saw the coach you would not believe it has a million miles or anything even close.. It was always well maintained. But you can see that many items are original and look and perform like new. He never cooked in it. The counter tops look like new. He only slept and showered. Also had a computer and printer so he did his data stuff in the coach. No one else slept in the unit. I remember looking at a coach in the Boston area. I think it was an LXI. Very low miles but was lived in almost full time. The interior was beat. Looked horrible. So miles is only one part of the equation. The Silver 8v runs great. No leaks!! It uses about a quart in 7 or 800 miles. Not bad for a Detroit. Pulls my 09 Silverado like it is not there. I saw something about an inframe but I would guess it also had a complete rebuild. I looked closely at 2 38 ft. Birds before I bought this. They all had problems. One from Minnesota had rust under the windows. Gennie did not start well. Who knows what I missed . The other had not seen any maintenance in over 2 years and it showed.Paint was all faded. Some rust. Interior was maybe a 6 out of 10. I gave up after those 2 thinking I will not find what I want. Luckily Robert and I have met and talked on the phone may times. And it all worked out! I know the new owner will be beyond pleased. I have had it at Q twice and it was subject to the eyes of many Bird owners. All were impressed. I had a chance to buy Robert's Marathon. But I think I am through doing heavy work on Motorhomes.

I have owned two coaches that were once owned by Robert. Talked to him once or twice. A very nice guy. My 1990 had two great owners, Robert and Don Bradner. My M380 was also owned by Robert (was OC Bird). The M380 was the 2nd nicest in US. Keeping a coach to those standards is very hard. Well bought coach!

Bruce, thank you for confirming yours was the one i was thinking about. Mileage unknown... so what. It went from point A to B, and anywhere else in style. I hope your next chapter will be filled with good health and happiness.

Congrats Marvin! It sure is hard to see an "old friend" leave! I'll look forward to seeing it on the road. Best regards
