Went hiking yesterday while everyone rested up. Found a long abandoned gold mine that was so remote that it had never been vandalized or robbed of scrap metal. There was an electric mine truck and ore cars still on the tracks or sliding down the mountain and the largest antique drill press I've ever seen. It was very strenuous but worth the effort.

Wouldn't that drill press make a cool shop decoration! Might even be able to get it back on its feet with a little tlc!

Me too! Here's another picture with my shoe to show it's size. It is on steep mountain at 12,000 feet with only a rugged foot path as access. It was all I could do to get myself out. Only a helicopter with a long winch cable could bring it out.

Good grief, that thing is huge! The press is pretty large also.

That's true, it was packed in on the same trail I hiked in on, but it was a wagon road back then. The road traversed a steep rubble slope that has since washed away to a foot path. In some places it was only as wide as my foot. Not even a motorcycle could make in now.
