Very interested? Can this wheel be used on the steer axle of a 95 WB42? I already have 315s mounted on 8.25s.

If this will work and I can get someone to bring them to WOG - I'll take them.

/Clint

I thought the same thing until Hish told me otherwise - just to be sure, I looked up the Alcoa part number that Hish read off of his drive axle wheels and those are listed as stud mount as well.

Woody
It is 1.5" nut holding the wheel and not nut washer. Hope that will clarify what is being asked.

When I talked to Hish yesterday, he gave me the Alcoa part number (893002) off of a drive axle wheel (which is polished on the inside) because those part numbers are visible. Based on that part number, it seems likely that his tag wheels (which are polished on the outside) would be Alcoa 893001's.

Bolt Holes 10
Bolt Circle 11.25
Standard (Ball-Seat) Mounting
8.73" Pilot Hole Size
Outset 6.94" / Inset 5.94" 60 lbs
893000 Machine Finish
893001 Polished Outside
893002 Polished Inside

Thanks John. Can anyone confirm that Alcoa part# 893001 will fit the steer axle of a 95 WB42? Hish is pretty confident they will, I just want to double check first.

I want to put these on my steer axle to increase safety during an emergency stop situation which could increase the axle and wheel load substantially, something Mallie brought up to me last year when deciding to go with 315s. Made a lot of sense. Plus it puts that whole 315s on 8.25 wheels (possible issue) to rest. At least on my steer axle.
