Default Al Perna's not so lucky day

I am used to navigating Al around bad weather in the winter time and I was joking with him about going through Colorado this time of year and still hitting snow.
Well coming down into Golden Colorado he managed to hit some very hard snow.
Hail manage to damage almost every piece of plastic on the roof as well as s denting up his new hammer and taking out a mirror on that as well.

He sent me a video while the hail was going on and like a fool I just watched it without even thinking about what what is truly happening. But with the audio track on the video in hindsight it did sound like things breaking.
Ginger and I spent a week up in Cheyenne Wyoming which is just north of Denver and had similar storms run through there last June.
At one point they told us to get ready to head toward a tornado shelter.

Al is buying massive quantities of gorilla tape.
The Rv shops are pretty well out of all the plastic Vents that they had.

Wow. Sorry to see all that damage Al. I hit a bad storm in Texas last year that had me slipping and sliding on the road from all the hail. The coach held up great but I had holes punched in the soft top on the Jeep.

thank you Mark, I guess you could not just post the picture without some details
Well , being a BB owner I felt pretty confident no storm was going to hurt me and my Coach , as to the others in the park , well good luck .
So , when its finaly over and we ventur outside , I see my neighbor in his SOB , and he tells me he lost a couple vents and the local Camping world has none left . Well I think to myself , good thing I own a Blue Bird , I don't... ? then it dawns on me , I have vents and plastic up there also ! Well , using my built in ladder made of high grade steel , not like the neighbors I climbed to asses her damage , to my surprise I find every vent, and cover with holes, or completely obliterated !
Well , looks like we will be heading to Leons for new air units covered in Gorilla Tape . But, I must say , it was one heck of a show

Carol and I were in a bad hail storm in Minot ND,the last day of an FMCA convention.
there was hundreds of coachs damaged, lots of SOBs with fist sized holes in the roofs.
My buddys new Prevost had $60,000 in damage.
We had a 1984PT 40,it had one broken roof vent.
But the Suburban got all of the windows broken out and the mirrors torn off the doors.
This happened just after daylight,i was at the junkyard waiting when they opened,i bought all of the windows i needed and went back to the fairgrounds and Carol and i installed them on the spot.
The windshield was replaced when we got home.
The poor old suburban was beat to pieces, dents everywhere.
we replaced the hood and the sun pulled the rest of the dents out,no kidding.
