Default Kohler overheating

I'm having a problem with the Kohler in my 84pt. After it runs for about 5 minutes it shuts down because of overheating. It warms up to about 220 and then cuts off. I changed the coolant but that hasnt seemed to help. I'm thinking its the thermostat or? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
