Default Disney World Fort Wilderness

Arrived at Fort Wilderness today. Security gate guard backed away and looked the bus over and with a big smile said "I love these coaches!" Then he asked if we had been here before and I told him we had. "Well welcome home" he said. That's why they call it the happiest place on earth.

We are going in September. Taking the grandson for his first trip to see Mickey. Planning on staying in the 500 loop for a week.

Not cheap but very nice there. Basically a resort.

I just made a reservation today for Fort Wilderness. We are going in August for a week.

Definitely more of a "resort", but it's one of our favorite places to camp. The nightly rate is expensive, but by Disney standards it's a relative bargain.

We were hoping we could come back down with the mayonnaise farm as a destination resort.

It is the cheapest way to stay on Disney property......as long as you don't factor in the cost of the bus.

Absolutely love that place!

Home from Disney and a great trip! Saw three other birds there; mid 80's FC, an SP 36, and a WB. Talked to a couple of them and as usual Wanderlodgers are nice people. 700 loop was a nice location with about a five minute walk to the marina, trading post, and Pioneer Hall. Don't hesitate to ask them at check in for a specific loop. They had us in 1300 and didn't mind changing it. Marina is nice for viewing the Electric Water Parade and the fireworks. Also a short boat ride from there to the Magic Kingdom. Good times!
