Smile New Tail Lights for the ole BIRD

John Wyatt and John Schmieder worked their magic and now I have a great rear end. On my bus!

I thought my lights were in good shape (they worked), but they were brittle and broke as I took the nuts off. Barry Grim rebuilt one tail light about a year ago and it was the only one that came off and could be put back on without repair.

After watching the two Johns work, I now realize that this project was above the skills of a right handed person born with two left hands.

Notice John Wyatt wearing a surgical mask so as not to infect my bus. or is the other way round.

A GREAT JOB by GREAT BLUE BIRDERS

Well, it looks like you are lying on your back while John leans over and does the work! I am curious, though, how you got the bus to stand on end.

As for the surgical mask, the pictures don't show the big cloud of fiberglass dust I made while doing some minor fiberglass surgery on Richard's rear end with a Dremel... (on the bus's rear end that is)...

Glad you clarified that John. Thought maybe the fumes were a little strong on Richard's rear end

Tasking similar upgrade on the BMC. Nowhere as nice as yours.
I can appreciate the work involved. What brand / model number are the lights?

These are long threads but you might find some additional info buried in them that you can use for your light project:

Ron, it is hard, but you know ignorant people don't know you can't do it, so they do it.

I was told you were suppose to be loading a rental truck. I went by all the rental spaces about 10am, but could not find you. I intended to help you load the truck. But the road to you know where are paved with good intentions. Hear you have a great house in Nevada and you are loving it.

I just hope I don't blind the drivers behind me when I put on brakes. Now my next project is to fix the tow lights on my tow car and put a second tow plug in the bumper of the coach. It took me a year to get around to the tow lights, so maybe I will do the other in 6 months or so. I am tiring of using magnetic tow lights on the car.

I have just about fixed everything, so it is getting close to time to sell the coach. I offered it to the former owner for what I paid him for it. He would come out very good and I would have had the use of the coach for two years.
