Ok, so I am shopping for a dash cam today. Can't be too safe out there.

Is there any type you guys have used and really like?

I got a nice one from Amazon. For about 50.00 dollars. Uses a micro sd card. Gets a great picture. And at night also. Can also send it to your phone. Can get the name of it if you want

After a bunch of internet research I just installed a Viofo A119. I got the optional GPS module (overlays date/time/location/speed) and the polarizing filter. I was considering mounting it high in place of the radar detector and using that socket but on my bus I haven't yet figured out why that outlet is dead. It's low and in front of me.

Good picture quality, 1140P at 30 frames/sec, and good low light performance. You want high rez to be able to get a plate number if needed. I wanted date/time/location to tie the video to any given incident.

Whatever cam you end up with be sure to get a high endurance memory card, as standard cards will not stand up under the stress of continuous overwriting.

I also have a dashcam in my car but it came as part of the Garmin GPS unit. I used a standard memory card in it which only lasted about a year or so.

No, the Garmin RV GPS does not have a dashcam.

Hope to see/meet you and your bus at WOG.

I went with a 360' camera system, it also acts as a security camera and dash camera.

Is the dash switch "radar Master" on?

Randy,

Radar master is on. Socket is dead with ignition on and off. I've looked in the fuse panel under the driver's window; there are 2 25 amp fuses for unnamed accessories. I replaced both of them and the old ones tested good. Probably the next step is to go through the electrical drawings and see if I can find it and where it gets power.

However, there are many other items higher on the priority list. I don't have any immediate plans to actually use that outlet for anything.

Steve

Well last night I completed 2 more LED light conversions after work. Only have 3 left to do!
So far I have found 2 ballasts that were turning sticky from this heat. It's not even Summer yet so I am rushing to complete this before they start to drip.
I also have no clue what I will do with all these 18" fluorescent bulbs that I don't need anymore.
I'll bring them to WOG and y'all can have 'em!

The Hubby has been busy making speaker surrounds since the new speakers are shaped differently on the backside and just barely don't fit in the factory opening in the overhead bins so we are adding a wood spacer instead of cutting the bin.
