Default Back in the saddle, maybe...

2019 has been a challenging year so far. Addressed a few health issues including repair of the shoulder on my dominant arm. Recovery has been much faster than anticipated so we are going to attempt a trip to the mountains with Traveller.

Any must see or stay places in N. Georgia as we work our way to Maggie Valley?

N Georgia is really pretty country. Dahlonega, Cleveland...cabbage patch babies, Helen...Hwy 64 thru Cashiers and lake Toxaway is nice too! If you like Motorcycles, take your towd up to Robbinsville and find a place to park and watch the bikes ride the tail of the dragon on hwy 129!

Everybody has a different shoulder injury, none are the same, what is the same is the recovery!
Be careful, don't screw up the docs work!

We are planning to buy something smaller next year . Currently leaning towards a Barth . One that will get to some of the primitive campsites in the back country a little easier .That's not to say we won't get another Bird in the future.
It has been a sacrifice , but we will be debt free by the end of the year.

Hoping to make a couple of rallies next year , we miss seeing our WOG family.

Hey Bill, good to hear your on the mend and getting on the road. Wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. I’m sure you prefer working on the bird and not getting worked on.

While waiting for our airbag this same time last year we became very familiar with NW Georgia. Tunnel Hill GA is halfway between dalton and Chattanooga and there is a former railroad tunnel museum there. Built in 1840something- carved out by hand. For a few bucks you can either walk or take a tram through and see a small museum. Worth planning a trip around? No. But if it's on the way I recommend it to waste a couple hours and get a little walk in.

Also, there is a very friendly planet fitness that doesn't mind boondocking in dalton.
