Default Hot water after arriving!

We always had hot water after driving for the day- one of our favorite features! Today after driving 4 hours no hot water! Any idea what it could be?

Thank you,

The hot water you are used to having, is that from a heat exchanger in the water heater/engine coolant, or electric?

The only thing that makes sense (short of being very low on antifreeze??) is that you might have closed a gate valve at the engine supplying coolant to the water heater loop? I did that a month or so ago before changing the water filter at the engine.

Hi Chip,

I just added coolant yesterday morning and I needed about 1/2 gallon, last night we had hot water and tonight none! We didn’t turn any valve or do anything different at least as far as we know!

If you are on SUMMER, change over to WINTER, turn on the Aux Pump as well. With engine warm, now see if you have dash heat, heat from chassis heaters et.c. May have an air lock at the water heater. That might allow it to pass.

I don’t have winter summer switch! I am not sure if I have an aux. pump! Dash heater blows cold air!

In the cabinet over driver's head next to the Electronics Master there's no Summer/Winter switch?

Chip, Shahin does not have the summer/winter switch. I looked. I also think his switch that controls the front chassis heat is not operating, either from lack of use or like mine was, rusted in place.
