Default DDEC 1 issue

Help!!! I am having an issue with my DDEC 1 that started on my last trip. I had just replaced the hot water heater in the coach, I had to move the ecm in the closet out of my way to get in there. I did not unplug anything, just unbolted in and moved it aside. I started the coach after I was done to make sure I hadn't messed anything up and all looked good. On the next trip traveling from Florida to Mississippi the check engine light came on after a couple of minutes. I went and looked at everything and I can not find anything wrong. Coach ran great for the trip with the engine light on the whole time. I pulled the codes and there were several of them. Reset the unit to clear the codes. Ran the next day to finish the trip. All of the codes came back but the thing is running normally. I don't have the codes with me as i am at work. I am thinking that I messed up the ground but I am not sure where to look for it. Any ideas/

spray some contact cleaner on the plugs- that thing has been sitting since birth and corrosion may have set in

Mine went out completely after replacing the house and engine batteries. Where are those plugs? Engine bay, tansmission curb side?
I need to spray my contacts first.

Ensure the batteries are installed correctly. If the engine ran before you installed new batteries it would run now. Has it started at all after the swap??

Batt. Installed correctly and it has run plenty. But no power from overhead display at all.

OK, back to the OP!

Did you get that DDEC 1 working??

If not, Id check and make sure the plugs didnt get tweaked while moving it around...
When you get the codes that might indicate which plug is flaky...

Joe,

I am at work right now and won't get to test it out until I get home in October. I am trying to get a game plan together for troubleshooting this thing. It makes sense that I tweaked a connection when I was moving the ecm around. I was trying to be careful but you know how that goes. I am going to clean up the connections like Ernie was talking about and make sure everything is tight.

Also remember, DDEC 1 has 2 boxes. One you found near the water heater, the other is on top of the engine...

Let us know next month!!
