The previous owners of my bird paid over $15k to have the generator replaced with a Powertech 12kw unit.. I am glad it has it now.. I think if your handy, just replace the weak components in the gen head, the sliprings, brushes and voltage regulator..
That central georgia generator has very inexpensive voltage regulators.. that is what I was going to get for my buddies Kohler/Perkins...

I think you will have to go to kohler for the sliprings and brushes.. I believe that’s what others have said..
