I drove through a nightmare of a rainstorm and then got the "Do Not Shift" and "Water in Fuel" alarms.
I limped to a safe stopping place and started making calls for suggestions. Thanks to Randy and George Morris for phone diagnostic guidance. I went through the attempted drying and spraying connections with CRC and WD40. Did not help. I reset the TCM by disconnecting all the batteries, no change. The Code was 22-16, speed sensor, I believe. After setting the day, while I was diagnosing, the "Water in Fuel" alarm has cleared. I called W.W. Williams Detroit/Allison Service Center in North Charlestown, SC and setup a service appointment for 11/26/14. I have a Coach Net membership, They set up and handled the Tow. The first truck (25 Ton Wrecker) could not handle the weight. They dispatched another Service (Elite Towing out of Charleston) and they brought a "Big Daddy" and off she went. Kaduz to Coach Net. I recommend having some type of "Tow Insurance". The bill was $1500 for a 100 mile tow. Will post the results. ![]()

FYI I have used WW Williams in Charleston SC and not had very good luck with their service; one of my trucks was there for over a month and the (major) repair they did never really worked. On the other hand my experiences with WW Williams shop in Columbia SC has been very good and I have used them repeatedly.
Not that my experience does you any good; your coach has already been towed :-( While they are looking your bird over it might be worthwhile to have Williams check all electrical connections and reseal them with dielectric grease (or whatever else they might use) to keep water out of your connections in the future. Cleaning and reconnecting all grounds would not hurt either. Good luck and let us know what the diagnosis turns out to be.

I am also more familiar with WW Williams shop in Columbia, I called them and they recommended the Charleston shop due to the proximity. I am hoping for the best, so far, they sound competent. We'll see.

I know it's been stated before, but I'll say it again; Randy Dupree and the WOG is the greatest!
My call to Randy about my "Do Not Shift" problem was correctly diagnosed by him over the phone. As posted earlier, I had the coach towed to W.W. Williams in North Charleston. They determined the transmission ECM was the problem (wet and corroded on the inside). Randy sent me an ECM he had at his shop. I had it flashed and installed by W.W. Williams. While waiting on the ECM, they installed the drive shaft and lubed the coach to include the PTO. The Williams team did a great job this time. Again, thanks to Randy, a bad situations was made better. If you're a Wannabe, you can't find a better group to be associated with, ![]()

That's awesome! ECM units are never inexpensive so sourcing a used one from Randy is a great idea. I have to buy an Eaton ECM soon and I hate to think what it will cost.
