Don't need them if it doesn't move from the back yard. Maybe they are on the bus behind it?

Interesting.
4 blocks away from my old machine shop which was nearby Jay Leno's shop. Bob Hope Airport is the old Hollywood-Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport (luggage tag BUR) which used to be known as Lockheed Air Terminal (luggage tag LAT). The area to the east of the runway (to the right on the map) was covered with camouflage netting strung by cables with telephone poles holding them up during the war. The airport was the location of Lockheed Aircraft. At the peak of war production 105,000 people went to work there in 3 shifts. They were building P38s so fast they had to park them on the streets because even with female pilots ferrying them everywhere they couldn't keep up. When I was a kid I remember seeing a lot of the evidence of the camo efforts and wondering what it was. Now Lockheed is gone, chased out by state and local government and taxes. They didn't move far, just to Palmdale and a U.S. government owned plant that doesn't have to answer to anyone.

Check out that old Barth sitting next to it! I almost bought one of those before I figured out what a Wanderlodge was.

Loved the part about where "it needs cosmetic work"
