Default Rope lights

I've noticed that I've got a handful (4-8) of the little bulbs in my rope lights that have "gone out/burned out". Probably not bad for a 19 year old lighting system.

However,

Can those individual bulbs be replaced or do you have to replace the whole series?

Next question, Ed, would be where are those rope lights (either led or standard) available?

Rope lighting is available just about anyplace that sells lighting. From HomeyLowes to Northern Tool. The problem, I think, will be in finding the correct length.

I believe that in '94, Blue Bird was using Vista Manufacturing for their Tube/Rope Lights. They are still in business and make both exact replacements and LED products as well.

I was considering 12v LED rope light for replacement in the BMC and found this place that sells it by the foot.

http://trinorthlighting.com/Store/in...64dd153ca5513d

They all come with a 4 ft. power lead in a variety of colors.
They also sell it in 120v.

See post 196 in this other thread. I posted this about one year ago. It got buried when it was put into the combined LED thread.

It is about installing LED rope lighting in older Birds. Inexpensive rope lighting working great after one year.

Tommy:
Call Krista at Vista Mfg in Indiana. I had the direct number for her and I put it somewhere safe. If you ask for her at the switchboard they will geive you her direct line.
They will custom make any length for you (they made the originals for Blue Bird). You can specify any length, you can specify any number of lights per foot, and they have many colors.
I replaced 4 lengths of mine and the cost was very reasonable and even though they were custom made I had them within a few days. They send new clips to attach them, but they fit the original clips just fine-a very simple replacement.
For the aisle lights I replaced them with the same, I believe they had a bulb every 4 inches. I know one length was 5 feet and the other was a bit longer. For the ones around the mattress base, I had them switch to one bulb every 8 inches, and they were much less expensive.
Vista is a quality outfit and they were great to work with.
Be sure to tell them the lights are for a Blue Bird.
