Default Good Sams and CoachNet poll?

Any chance a poll of these service providers could be added to the site? It could be a quick reference for number of memberships and satisfaction.

Check the various threads on it. You'll find out that they are both pretty good but they have had their issues. Nothing that couldn't be taken care of though. It's kind of like the tires and batteries thing. You won't get any agreement on which is best because everybody has an opinion. I have had both and have used both of their services. Found both to be good.

Why don't we start the poll with you. Who do you use?

I have Good Sam Roadside Assistance and have used them three times.

The first time pulling a travel trailer from California to Texas and experienced three tire blow outs on the trailer right after crossing into Texas from New Mexico. I was not aware that you should not pull all the way off the road due to these large type of thorns. Ended up blowing all 4 tires in the tow vehicle and all four on the trailer. Roadside service had a mobile tire repair come out and we were back on the road within 4 hours. Great experience.

The two times I used them on the Bird was an ok experience. I got a lot of questions from the operator, who was clearly going through some sort of check list, to help trouble shot the issue (was a waste of time) before they would call a mobile service. They also had trouble locating a shop that could handle a bus.

Thanks John for making this poll. Any chance it can be modified to include a satisfaction rating for each of the services, like very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, neutral, dissatisfied, very dissatisfied?

I'm with Coachnet now.

Had Good Sam ERS while I had the 'bird. Had 3 service calls (2 in one day but different locations). I was well satisfied with Good Sam.

Coachnet had a discount deal with FMCA, but that's no longer operating. My Roadtrek (bought new) had a one-year "free" membership in Coachnet as part of the manufacturer's "support" and warranty system. It was easiest to renew when the first year expired. Had 1 service call to Coachnet and they put a Sprinter "expert" on the phone -- and he correctly diagnosed a blown fuse over the phone. (There was a "service bulletin" about it -- a larger fuse was required.) No other service calls, so far.

In my experience they're really about the same.
