Rich,

How many coaches could they handle down there ?
I have been going into this area for the last 35 years or so. Playa Bonita Resort (where Rick, et al met up with us) begins to get busy about the time of Q. Still, they could likely handle all the coaches that wanted to rent a spot. I'd suggest that the Mexico trip be done prior to Q. Then the resort is relatively empty. There is also a dry camping beach about a 1/4 away from Play Bonita...short walking distance. We should be getting to Penasco about the time of Q (more or less) and will be parked at the dry camping beach or out at a friends oyster farm. If there is any assistance I can give to helping a group to go to Mexico, just shout...

EDIT: Maybe I should begin writing a "how-to" on visiting Mexico for first-timers?

I am really interested in a "how to" Neal. And I hope to get a spot on the coach repainted at Navarros too.

You can get any bodywork or painting you need at Playa Bonita. Chuey and his crew do excellent (and fairly priced) work while you are parked at the beach. Here is Chuey, his two sons and hired help as a mural on one of their cars (attached). The do murals that are just unbelievably beautiful!

It is a miserable day outside here (just cool, but to me anymore it is cold), so I guess I will get started on the how-to.

Here is a document that I have just completed as a draft, titled "So you want to visit Mexico in your Bluebird?". If you have questions ask and then I will include answers to these questions in the second draft.

Thanks Neal. Your discussion regarding signals and passing on the right shoulders brought back memories of driving in the Middle East though, so I need to go make a relaxing toddy.

Wow! Very nice. After reading about the WOGers who went there after Quartzite this year I have been thinking of giving it a try next year.

Thank You!
