Default Compartment Liner Material

Does anyone know the source for matching the material used for lining coampartments and bays? I am not finding much on line or in the forum.

Ron I think someone once said that JC Whitney had that grey stuff if that's what you're looking for.

I usually don't promote the big box stores- but Home Depot has the exact replacement. It comes in 6 foot wide rolls and the original name was Ozite.

Ernie I went to three Home Depots and a couple of Lowe's. Those guys looked at me funny, nothing unusual there, except for one guy that had owned his own store. He said he hadn't see Ozite in quite a while. Had some other stuff very similar but the colors of course were off by a good bit. I'll be in Tejas in Oct. Maybe I could stop by and we'll do all the bays. You up for that ?

I bought some from Homedepot and it was an exact match for the 1982 FC35 that I used to have. If you go to the Ozite site you will find what you need and I believe contrary to what the salesman told you that Homedepot still has it.

Tom,

How long ago did you buy it? I've looked in my local HD and didn't find it. Their (Home Depot's) website doesn't list it either and the Ozite site does NOT list HD as a retailer. ?? Interesting, they do list Menard's and O'Reilly's.

I didn't do an exact match-up, but there was some at the HD near my home in TN last week that looked like the exact stuff.

Thanks Tom,

I guess I found those stores that just didn't have what I wanted.

I'll wait to see if Ernie is interested in this little project. I'd also like to get him to quote me on some new flooring with the embedded heating.

Kurt, I'd be happy to work with you. There are some nice applications for radiant heat out these days. At least thats what my trade publications tell me.
Ernie- leaving Tommy McCarthy's coach this afternoon headed to Paul Potters in Hesperia, Ca for his extreme makeover.
ps-- I do make house calls

I first found the ozite in the discount bundles where they sell shorter pieces at a steep discount. They found larger pieces in Florida at Lake Worth to put outside under our awning. I would also check Lowes since they sell similar things. Dont put to much stock in asking a salesman for in my experience they were not that helpful. Just browse around and you should see it. Also check the large rolls.
