Default New Webasto For Sale

While at RATS John McGinnis and I were over in Ft Valley and noticed that one of the unfinished buses sold at the auction had a lot of stuff installed on it. It had a brand new generator, and a brand new Webasto unit a little smaller than an Aquahot. I did a little digging about the Webasto because I thought I might be interested in it as a partial replacement for my Aquahot problematic fuel pump and maybe put in a new burner. The people that bought that bus are now selling off all the components

But it is a Webasto 2020 and mine takes the parts from a 2010. So, if anyone is interested it is brand new and he says it includes the whole large unit inside the case with control board and everything. They priced it to me at $1000. In a later conversation he told me he looked up everything that was included on the internet and it came in around $6000 new. I do not know if it is 12V or 24V.

It is located in Baltimore MD, and before I found out it was not a good replacement for me, I tried negotiating but he wouldn't budge (at the time he didn't know what the model number was). He says there are a lot of boats around there and he felt he could move it OK. (at that point he had not done his internet search but later told me the $1000 was still good but nothing less.

Anyway, if anyone is interested the guys name is Jerry at Maryland Truck and his number is 410-822-5752

I don't remember what the generator was but John McGinnis might. If you are interested in that, Jerry probably has the info on that too.

A Webasto 2020 is a powerful unit. 85,000 BTU and up-gradeable to well over 100,000 BTU with a simple oriface change. $1000 is a pretty good price for a new one.

That does sound like a real good price if you need a powerful heater. I'm pretty sure this would be overkill in an FC application. Also, I don't think the 2020 is nearly as efficient as the smaller variable btu units.

As most know I work for WW.Williams who is a distibutor and service center for Detroit Diesel, Mercedes, and Allison as a Territory Sales Rep. in Michigan. W.W. Williams has numerous locations thruout the US.
W.W.Williams has now taken on the Webasto heater line of products and will be distributing and servicing their units. Any questions or application issues give a W.W.Williams a call in your area. If they do not have the answer I am sure we can guide you to the person to get the answers for you.

This is not a plug for W.W.Williams as I am not a commisioned sales person. Just some important information to pass on in case someone needs some help with any of the above. This site helps me on differant issues on my BMC units all the time and I am always grateful to get a new lead and pass that information along.
