Hello all,
Getting ready for the warmer weather and I was inspecting the filters for the Cruisair units. The ones I have are electrostatic type. They look clean but they are by no means new. Beside vacuuming, should these be washed? Do they time out and need replacing? Thanks, NH Bill

This looks like a filter we had in an ozinator air purifier. We would just rinse them in running water and let them dry and they would be good as new. They don't wear out or get old and there is no need to replace them as long as you don't tear them.

NHBill, now that you have the filter out keep digging until you get to the evaporator, its going to be nasty.
I have never seen a clean one unless it was leaving my place.

OK, not sure these are the evaporators, but here is what I found behind the filters. What do you think?

Bill,
THem is the eveporators. They are in a pan to allow the condensation to run down through a hose to the ground, or the wheel well above the dualies for the center one. You should be able to spray them with a cleaner and let the rinse water it run out the bottom. Just remember the cage blower is right behind it. Here'a mine getting a new evaporator coil

I like Crit's idea about using air to blow the stuff out. Would this be adequate? NH Bill
