First trip using the dash lights. Unfortunately, the upper part of the main dash (coolant & oil temp/oil pressure/fuel/air tanks...) started to fade out and by the time I got home there was just the faintest glow. I assume one of the new blue ice cubes started to go and will try swapping out one at a time since I have a spare I bought from Stephen the other week.

If I'm really picky the left part of the main dash is dimmer than the right part. The side panels (shifter switches et.c. and around radio) are really good and bright along with the upper dash, the latter is on its own inverter behind the airline cabinet. I may try pulling one cube at a time to see exactly what powers what...

Swapped in the one good-used inverter I had and restored some but not all illumination to the upper gauge strip (dash not overhead) - the "Silver Edition" script as well as the AIR PRESSURE and FUEL LEVEL lettering is dim to the inboard of both of those. I guess I need to beg for a good strip of EL material from a Silver Edition coach? Randy? Will see if it smokes that one out as it appears to have the new one...

Craig, those are the LED sealed beam replacements I fitted at WOG (Amazon stuff). They look a little strange but are awesome on high beam.

I am new the the WL clan. I am at the PM WOG now (my first long trip). On the way up from FL, I noticed how my dash was a black hole when the sun set. I have a dimming knob (nothing happens) and it looks like it's EL. A few corners of the lower dash are cracked around the screws. Nothing is lit. I hope it's just the inverters and not worse. I will get a few of the Dupree inveters in the mean time.More to come over the winter. I did't even know this was a thing till last Monday. Chip, from the sounds of the comment 'EL material from a Silver Edition coach' this is something that can be soldered in, or otherwise spliced? I see lots of EL tape out on the web. I just can imagine matching it is about impossible.
