Elliot, I think our horn will forever be referred to as "The Brown Note".

John, Glad to know we are officially members of the club. Let the hazing begin.

Ernie,

That is one of the reasons why my train horns are operated by a lanyard that I pull

John,

If I remember correctly, Juergen Steinmetz has a similar setup on his SP. Very impressive. Looks like it would make it easier to include "hand signals" while applying the horn.

i forgot to add this about our trip....

first I want to say that this never ever happened when we had squanderlodge and I could not understand why all you men out there were having such a hard time about "BLOWING" Your horns

But then "HER" coach came along and I do not remember where we were...in traffic and i was watching everything around me everything was tickty-boo and the next thing this D&^% loud horn went of I jumped out of my skin...shot the "LOOK" over at Bill and asked what the the "HAY"
then at that moment i realized that Bill had scared the bejeezz's out of himself too

i want to say the second, third and forth time have not been any better either!!!!

but i do know it is on the "honey to do list" to fix."

and I know because we don't get out in the coach as often as we'd like this is gona be problematic thing

and Bill will continue to get the "LOOK" and then I'll have to LAUGH at him

What did it for me was trying to leave an RV park at 8 am, a park that is mostly much older people. The engine was loud enough, but when I eased out of the parking spot, my left foot eased into the wrong position. Well, I guess they all woke up. I now have a switchable alternate button on the dash. Works great. No more surprises.

For those of you with a CB that has a PA feature, it's sometimes interesting to get on it and let those idiots know that their death wish might come sooner than later. You will get some interesting looks. Remember people don't know where it's coming from but the person it's directed to will know who it's targeted to.

Foot rest, wow, I have to go look. My horn(s) seem to go off on their own quite often on their own. I have a horn pad for the steering wheel that is not connected and no visible wires in the column. All selector switches work. I am following this thread to see if I can find my ghost and get some pointers.Good luck.
