I'm thinking about replacing the female connector with a terminal barrier strip and attaching wiring to a new female connector (which I have). Kind of a hybird but I prefer to splicing wires. It is not easy when there is just a stub of a cable wire sticking out.

Bill,

I don't think you mis-posted--I'm just not up to hard wiring directly from inside the contol box. BTW my control box does not need to be grounded in order to function.
