Me personally yes. Murphy's law applies, you don't have one you'll need it. You do have one you won't need it. In my case I'm about to have my windshields replaced, and there was no way I was going to have them pulled out to find out that either they damaged the gasket or the gasket itself is not reusable. I didn't want to be stuck in that situation with what to do next. And even if I didn't have to replace the windshield now, I'm sure at some point in the future it will happen.

I'm in the same boat. I need to replace the drivers side windshield, and I figured that the new windshield is sure to leak if I reuse a 40+ year old gasket.

FYI it is just one figure 8 shaped gasket, not one gasket per windshield. I updated the original post to clarify that too, as I originally thought it was one gasket for each side.
