This is Rick. We got in last night. I got 2 hours sleep in two days. Slept about 5 hours last night. I am shipping out tonight for home. Jeff gave me the cook's tour of LA last night and today. Wish I could stay longer but wanna get home. Jeff and I are a great traveling team. I like to drive and he is an outstanding navigator. All in perspective, I had a great time and once again, we got to see why the WOG is such a great resource.

Did that once with truck and trailer. We tried to stop in AZ but no vacancys - kept going west - no vacancys by the time we got to the river. With no vacancys in Barstow I figured it was only 100 more miles to my own bed.

Finally got a night of uninterrupted sleep in my own bed last night. About 6 hours is all I ever get. My older female German Shepherd missed me and is glad I am back, but the black male GSD was a little standoffish when I got home. That's the longest ever being away from him in his 18 month lifespan. Today he is over me being gone and is like my shadow. Good to be back home. In all the travelling I have done over the years racing, this trip was right up there as an adventure. Now I have some good stories for Saturday "Breakfast Club" with my motorcycle buddies.
