I just dropped the vin number posted for this one into a browser search and this popped up. Maybe nothing, maybe something.

Niceville: Fire Incidents in 2006, Florida (FL) - City-Data.com
www.city-data.com/fire/fire-Niceville-Florida.html
Mobile Property Involved: Involved in ignition, but did not itself burn, Type: Motor home, camper, bookmobile., Make: Other Make, Model: CONVERSION BUS (RV), Year: 1998, License Plate: V40GTM FL, VIN No: 1BBCNB98XWF082219. Location: Kelly Road, Niceville, FL 32578. Fire Department: Niceville Vol. Fd., FL ...
Shows affected area as:
Area of Origin: Engine area, running gear, wheel area

I guess is could have been a stuck brake or something simple. Hard to say but I bet you could find the owner from that license plate number if you knew the right people.

You know.. it's a shame to have such a gorgeous bus like this and leave that old CRT in the dash???? Come on, upgrade the backup monitor! And I was just about to pull the trigger on this one... It's only 8 miles away, good thing I caught that before I made a huge mistake!

Oh well, back to the 78FC engine upgrade...

Hey Kent,

Well, still under 100 so I can't start the engine swap yet. I can still touch my tools and metal so need to wait a little longer.

Spoke with Steve Bennet, very nice guy . Owner is from Sedona , purchased a Liberty, owned this approx 2 years , traveled alone init. Michelin’s 5 yrs, batteries 2 , described it as 7.5 on scale of 1-10. Some blemishes on rear end cap / poor quality body/ fiberglass work. Roof all clear coat and paint in poor condition, appears to be all electric coach but waiting for additional info from him. Black box with bus , not much in way of deeper history.

If it is in fact a 7.5 out of 10 a price tag of $98,000 is not justified in my opinion. If it was a 10 out of 10 no question that it would be. Gotta find the right coach as nice as this one LOOKS it seems the facts are coming out to qualify a much lower price.
