450 Lxi owners?

WOG, The recent press release has concerns for 450LXi owners.
We are looking for all 450 owners so that we can link up to discuss what possible steps we could or should take. If there are any 450 owners who are not on the email group please contact me.

Congratulations on the new bird. If you can make it to the WOG rally in Pine Mountain GA (Oct. 21 - Oct. 26), you can meet other M450 owners in person. This is a good opportunity to get first hand information and pointers plus see what others with your same model coach have done with theirs. Hope to see you there......

I sent an email request to the Hadley Truck Division asking about going back to the original E prom on the Hadley System. I received a reply back from
Daryl Palma Engineering Field Technician, His reply was any changes to the functionality of the air suspension system would need to be authorized by Bluebird Corporation. I had also sent an email to Bruce Miles. I had asked him about putting the original E prom back into the system. His reply talked about reimbursement for the cost of me installing the 365 tires which is great but in the same email he stated that one of the recall remedies included updating the Hadley air leveling system which equalized front loading so that left and right sides were balanced while driving.Having equalized front loading is important so that neither front tire is overloaded. Even though the load capacity of the larger 365/70R XZA tire is higher, the front gross axle weight rating (GAWR remains at 17,000 lbs due to the components on the independent front suspension (IFS) Regards Bruce Miles. I guess what Bruce is saying is putting on the higher capacity tires does not fix the overloading of the suspension, this still needs to be resolved.

While I do not own a 450, I do have a M380 and have extensive experance with the Merotor IFS. There have been no reported failures of the front suspension, just failures of front tires. Fix what is failing, first!! Then worry about something that just does not meet a number on a spec sheet.

Just an FYI for all you 450 owners. WE are all eligible for the 365 tire upgrade. If you have not received a letter from blue-bird due to change of ownership, you might want to call blue-bird. Call Lisa Hancock at 478-822-2242 and explain that you are a new owner. Give her your info so that you can get this done. new Michelin 365/70.22.5 XZA tires, new Alcoa rims, new longer wheel studs, new literature for your owners manual, new stickers for your bay doors and a front end alignment. Blue-bird is taking care of the bill. One thing though, My front end guy (who as been in business 30+ years questions the camber setting that blue-bird is suggesting. he says their setting will wear the tires on the edge. You are on your own on this one, I'm just passing along what I have been told!

New tires and wheels installed on Friday. New tire pressure stickers reflect 115 on the front, no changes on the rear or tag. Rides great. Going back to get the alignment as the steering wheel is about 5 degrees off center now.

there is a red/tan 450 here in Weatherford for sale. Salesperson said it came from Ft Myers. Anyone know owner? It does have 365s and side generator
