Default Leveling Jack not fully retracting

Had my road side leveling jack removed and rebuilt by a hydraulic shop. After reinstall I won't fully retract leaving approximately 3" of polished shaft showing. The springs are completely relaxed so they are not pulling. They appear to be hooked top and bottom like the one on curb side. The curb side fully retracts and the springs still have some tension. Have I missed an adjustment on the spring? Put a small bottle jack under it and it goes up no problem.

Take it back to the shop that did the work. I think you will probably find that they installed the incorrect springs, and that is your problem .

Default Leveling Jack Not Fully Retracting

That would be an easy fix but I'm Not sure I understand how it could be bad springs. Both springs are totally relaxedwith no gap between rounds while cylinder still is still extended 2-3" out. The roadside jack springs still has some gap between rounds, tension and cylinder in totally retracted. Springs on both curb and roadside are hooked on brackets at their respective locations

One spring installs on a hook on the jack mount while the other hooks to an eye bolt that is adjusted to tension the return springs.

Thank you for the reply but my jacks don't have eye bolts for adjustment. I can't see any way to adjust them. I'll try to locate new springs

Can you slide under and take a couple pics for how the springs are hooked??

Look on the other side and see how that set of springs are attached. Might help in finding what's wrong.

Default Leveling Jack not Fully Retracting

I took the photos this morning but Try as I may I couldn't get a photo downloaded. As I remembered the springs are hooked into a bracket on top and into a hole on the plate at end of cylinder ram. No adjustments
Comparison of the two sides. Curb side: The open end of the spring hook faces away from the tires. Road side: The side I'm having trouble with the hook faced towards the tire.
I asked my mechanic to redo the spring and hook it the same as the other side. This should tighten the spring by 1/2 wrap. Not sure if this will solve my issue or is possible without lots of work.
