Thanks Jeff and Kip.
Will be looking into getting either the one in the bus fixed or getting set up with a new one. Sounds like another education will take place. Let me get my note pad and pencil ready.

Being from Washington State, been to a few places around here. After we left here in 07 and made our way down to Fla, we were on the main hwy (10?) cruising along when an 18 wheeler pulled up along side us, hit his horn and motioned with his CB mike for me to pickup. Did so and we had a nice 2 min conversation about how he had come from the Seattle area and had seen our bird over there.
Small world!

Dana, you reallly don't need the CB,unless your going to caravan alot, and even then,if the coach your traveling with does not have a CB its not going to do you any good.

Most coachs don't have a working CB,on our 2019 trip to Alaska we worked on the CBs more than we worked on the coachs!

If you buy one,get a new antenna too,get everything new, cables etc.

Thanks Randy. We are just trying to decide what all we are putting in the new instrument pod before we design the face plate to hold everything. And, of course, a CB would take up the most real estate. I think we will keep it as part of the design so in the future, if we decide we want/need to add one, we can.

Yeah unless you are caravanning they are completely useless. I still have mine, but the antenna was destroyed long ago and I haven't replaced it. I was thinking about putting a portable ham radio in its place, but I would likely not use that much, either.

I went with one of the handset units. I got a second adaptor and now can just unhook the mic cord and move it to the TOAD.

Channel 19 for truckers. A lot of BS, specially around truckstops ( but you will know if there is lot lizard activity ). But for traffic updates it can really help. Still got one.
