Default Air Dryer

Yesterday, after returning from getting my Genny Stack made up, I park the bus and started for the house. Heard an air leak. Investigation revealed the Air Dryer sneeze tube had air escaping. It look to me like my Dryer is not a AD 4 or AD 9 but instead an AD 2. Has anyone else ran into this? Is it possible Wanderlodge had some old stock and installed a 2 on this 83 bus?
Local Truck Shop will change this over for 2 hours labor @ $68 and the cost of the AD 9 now on sale at $170. Sounds good to me. What do the rest of you think?

I have an AD-2 on my '83. I picked up a rebuild kit for $35 on e-bay, but I don't think that covers the spitter.

Rick,

I'd switch to the AD9, but only if it were the latest design. That one has a spin off cartridge, so servicing is much easier.

I'm sure glad it's my daughters money. Getting ready to go to Quartzsite is about to reach the point where it would be cheaper to bring Quartzsite to here.

AD 9 it will be.
