Default Fixing the floppy door latch on my FC

Thanks, maybe someday I'll be brave enough to take something apart on our Bird.

Would love to see more "how to" videos!!

Maybe a section can be started.

I am all about learning "how to" and video's would be a great way to help. Even simple things like checking your oil and such.

side note, we have a gray like ooze or something coming out of our door latch and it's kinda sticky if you touch it. Would be nice to clean it up and maybe fix the door latch on ours as well(someday). It wiggles and that little pull knob thing....what's that do?

Try using some WD-40 to clean up the grey stuff it is probably a form of graphite grease, I will assume since you were not very specific on your description that the pull knob is located on the inside of the door and that is a lock for the door handle. I just lock the deadbolt.

Thanks, we'll try that when it warms up. If it ever does.

yes, that little pull knob thing. Don't know if it works on ours, plus our handles are giggly. the door stay shut and all, but would like it to not be wiggly/giggly at some point.
