Unhappy M380 Dpmetic Refrigerator Issue

Okay
This one has me stumped.

The Refrigerator works great on electric or gas as long as you are parked.
Any time I crank up and drive it quits cooling.

The generator is running and yes it is powered and the panel looks normal.
Tried it on gas to day underway and did not cool either.

As soon as I stop for the night it goes back to cooling.

Shawn Kravitsky was having sort of the opposite problem at WOG, but maybe there's a clue, trying to remember his symptoms, maybe he'll chime in

Any chance the cover on the roof is damaged?

try pulling the ignition delay signal from the control. put a light on it and see if it blinks when driving. if it has a broken wire or a ground issue to the control the delay will keep resetting.

Never mind, I would guess you are talking about the gas firing delay, but that would not affect the A/C side, which is the default (off the inverter) for an M380.

Don the control board has a delay when the ignition turns off because turning off the ignition is also a task done when refueling the bus. The high volt spark has been known in the past to ignite fires from filling station fumes hence this requirement. In the past this was a stand alone but it is part of the newer models motherboards. I doubt you completely understand what the new boards consider for this function if he disconnect this, and all is well, and that is the issue.or the issue was the ground to the 12v board was on and off, thus the 12v+ ignition got a on and off signal and the delay repeated several times or at least every time he looked. other test is to stay stationary and turn on and off the ignition and see what happens. A bulbe inline where you can watch it will warn you of a intermittent issue. I guess a relay normally closed hooked to a buzzer will also give a clue.

Seeing the above posts, my first question is do you have a two or three way fridge? Not knowing M380s I don't know that. However, being the owner of a 3 way dometic that had multiple issues when we purchased the bus, I have had to become knowledgeable about them in and out. Knowing what you have will help us all in coming to a conclusion. A model number should be on the back of the fridge if you open up the outside vent panel. Snapping a picture of the 12v wire connections would also help in determining if you have an ignition wire at the fridge, ours is green

Unhappy M380 Dometic 1292

It is a Model 1292.

It has a new ammonia coil system completely replaced.
It has been working great. After the replacement I added a fridge defend to protect when not level.

I think my next step is to remove the fridge defend and see if that fixes he problem.

As I say driving down the road it quits cooling on gas or electric.

The fridge doesn't lose power and all appears to be working but it stops cooling

until I am parked in RV site for the night.

After looking up that model it is a two way fridge. I think you are on the right track with the ARP causing it to shut down the heat. If you check the unit when driving and notice the count down timer going, the heaters are both shut down and your fridge will not cool.

Yep the issue I had with my Fridge was Self Inflicted....So I think.
My fridge historically warms up when traveling, somewhere around 36-38 degrees. Then cools down when stopped. Shore power, gen power, propane makes No difference.
Headed to WOG pulled bus out of barn All good until 1st stop, In AM fridge still warm. Got to WOG fridge still warm. Bought Temporary Fridge and Borrowed one also from a Awesome WOG owner (Phil Wells).
Tested board and heat functions No go above 90degrees. Unplugged fridge, let sit over night.
Started getting COOL!
