Bill, those are MGM Magnum Piston type brakes; my 89 FC had those.

Bill, that's the beauty of the Ridewell components, and wanderlodges in general, 45 plus years of evolution!

David G, great pics! Keep 'em coming. I can't get enough of this stuff. But I have to agree with your wife! (And, mine)! We're nuts!

It was interesting to see how much more robust the front shock mount was compared to the '95 -- with the "known" durability issue of left front shock mounts on pusher models over several years. For comparison, see the shock mount repair to my coach at

Pete, The engineer that I know at Ridewell told me that around year 2000 Ridewell implemented a stress analysis, FEA, on all there suspension systems. While over the years the systems outwardly look very similar, there are quite a few detail differences.

David Brady, all the picture links seem to be broken. If you still have the pictures it would be great to see them.
Thanks,
Randy B

Sorry to hear that Randy. I was trying to learn more about the system and the pictures would have been nice. If you have a drawing I would appreciate it. I’ll print it out and put it with the other information that came with the bus and what I’ve found from you and WOG.

What would you like to know?
I have been studying the steering tag for a few years.
