Default 1990 SP GVW?

Hey, quick question to the knowledge base...can some one give me insight into my rigs GVW? And by axle?

I am asking because I am looking to purchase tires and need GVW to see if I can run 11R vs 12r all the way around.

My understanding is that if the front axle weight is over 11000 lbs I can run 11R tires. But it if my front Axel is over 11000 lbs I need 12r's.

The coach is in the storage yard...so I can not get to the plate to view the GVW.

Thanks!

I would stay with the 12rs regardless of steer axle weight.

My 92 SP needed 12R's. I too would stick with them all around.

Look at your chassis data plate. It “ might” be up where the sun visors are mounted. Up above the dash just behind the windshield.

That’s where it is on the BMC models.

Sorry — I just re- read your post and realize you can’t get to your coach.

I too am in the same situation with tires, 11R or 12R. If you run 11R's you must get the H-rated, not G.

My FC33 had 11R's and it was fine. Keep in mind that if you downsize to 11R's they are slightly smaller circumference, so you will be at higher RPM at the same speed. Might be slightly better with acceleration.

I have decided to get new BFG ST230 12R22.5's all the way around, replacing my perfect 9-year old Michelin XZE's on steer and 12-year old BFG's on the rear. All the tires are perfect but I don't want a problem. Could likely sell them for someone looking for a spare or off-road equipment. Going with all-position tires on steer and drive.

Just found this plate yesterday! I was laying on my back on the dash working on the blinds.
Mine is an ‘89
