I spoke with the painter, passing on the numbers. He will pass on to his paint supplier, and suggested that the supplier can show up with his camera to ID the paint also. Should have it covered, thanks everyone for the input. More things learned about my coach, that will never end, I'm sure.

Help!! Does anyone know the paint code to a 1998 LXI 43. The gold color? I’m at the paint place that said “bring me a sample and I’ll match it with this high tech camera” when I get there he says he needs a bigger piece. I’m sure I have it somewhere in the Black box ( back Home) but I’m at the place now. I need to spray a small area and they can put it in an aresol can.
Thanks

Camaras still are only as good as the mixer. Most top paint matcher's use the scope as a place to start, then add tint as needed. Its a real Art.

If it's the same gold that is on my bus ( I have no idea if it is) Champagne Gold rustoleum in a rattle was as good a match as anything a paint shop could come up with. I painted my headlight rims with it and I defy you to tell it's not the OEM paint!

Lay down on your dash and look straight up at the upper dash, the codes will be on a sticker on the black part of the bottom of the upper dash, above the windshield.

Remember the Paint codes are when your coach was new . So figure some fading 20 years latter . I agree with Dave here on it being a art . I had some repairs done a few years back and provided the codes and they insisted on taking a pic . and when the light shines in a certain way you can see the difference .

Thanks Randy, Randy, Bill, Al and Dave. I will try and see the dash sticker, if not the rattle can of Rustoleum might work, and I agree that 20 years of sun will change the color but I think if I take a bigger piece they can match it. I had the rear bumper painted and the guy that did it was supposed to give me the rest of the paint but you know how that goes. It was tough getting to go to my house in the first place.
Thanks guys.
