Bobbie, that is quite the endeavor and a perfectly good reason to have to cancel this year. We will catch you at the next rally.

I called today and cancelled, so H68 came available. As I sprint to finish this bus up, I keep finding things that are going to drag me across this deadline, plus I don't have a toad ready to go - working on that yet. Here I am again, kicking the can to the next goalpost, Shipshewana! Lost this battle, but I am certain I will win the war! This bus will make it to a rally!!

Kris, you'd be surprised how little you'll use your toad during a rally, especially batb. Plus you can rent a golf cart there, its like 150 for a week or something cheap like that.

Good advice, thanks Chris. Real reason for the toad IMHO is a backup plan in case the coach fails me mid-trip and I have to leave it for repairs. Then I detach and have my dinghy to get around. I'd hate to be stranded that far from home. Plus, as I dig into the interior, I'm finding things I will need to spend TIME on. Planning to get this body work, plumbing wrapped up by the time of that rally (not going), and take the bus into Elkhart for the refrigerator renew service and get into the LP system then. Also don't have a radio in the bus at the moment, no back up camera...the list feels endless. It's just pieces and parts, and my labor!

You're going to love getting that refrigerator fixed, i did it 4 years ago. Its amazing to pull in at 7 am, a bunch of Amish dudes (with solar charged Dewalt drivers) get it out and back in and by noon you're on the way home.

My coils were starting to rust, too. It was a fire waiting to happen.

Ebikes make a great dinghy too. If you are really in a pinch for a car or truck because you need something big then Turo works very well. It is easy to find someone who will bring the vehicle to wherever you might be. I have been using it for years all around the country. Rented all kinds of vehicles from sports cars to jeeps to trucks to vans.
