Default 32" Flat Screen TV Install

Recently Randy Dupree and I installed Sharp 32" Flat Screen tv (model LC-32SH12U) in our PT40s. Randy fabricated a "C" shaped bracket that spanned the width of the tv and had 90 degree bends on each end to attach to the sides of the cabinet hole. The bracket was first attached to the tv and then the whole assembly was put into place. The bottom of the tv was placed in the cabinet hole first and the top tilted back until just before it touched the ceiling. The 90 degree bends were screwed to the cabinet wall by accessing the back area through the hinged upper guage panel. All clearances worked out well with no one banging their head on the unit which sticks out about 2 3/4" at the bottom. The side cabinet doors open a full 90 degrees. To finish it off Randy bent some screening material to hide the visable portion of the bracket.

Thanks Rod. I just remembered that I forgot to mention the best part. We first went to Best Buy but they wanted over $900 so we scooted over to Circuit City where we got them for $599 + tax.

we went to circuit city and the TV was on sale, sale price was $699 for the 32'' TV.
the salesman was a young guy and we were picking on him (just a little) and I told him i would buy one of he knocked another $100 off the price!
he said "OK" i can do that,if you have an address where you get cable TV,we can give you a deal to "upgrade to a HDTV".
well,i don't have cable at home but my MIL does,so i bought one using her address, and Rob bought one using Arleys address!

on my coach we were doing a repair on the surround sound and had the TV out of the hole,so while it was out we replaced it.
so,a free fix cost me $600 in the end..
Randy
