Default Onan gas gen fuel pump

My 2 facet pumps (old ones) will not keep the clear gas filter full. New pump is a Edelbrock 17301, 38 GPH. 4-7 Psi. The carb now leaks, is this pump too much?
Can I get a new carb? Parts list has complete carb # 146-0188 (I will try and call Mon.)

I replaced the fuel pump with a 2-3.5 Psi and it started right up and just a small fuel drip on the carb. I also had to adjust the gov spring. It ran good with 2 A/C on.

I ran both a/c, then used a volt meter to set the gov spring

Ran it again and it started to leak more and went back to "hunting". I will look for a new bowl assy. and adjust the GOV rod some more.

I replaced the fuel pump and moved the clear filter to the carb side and now it is full of gas (pump has it own filter). Replaced the fuel bowl & gasket. Built a new GOV rod but could not remove the spring from the engine. Added to the GOV plate to line up the rod better.
I CAN HOLD THE CHOKE TO GET IT TO START, IF IT OPENS THE ENGINE DIES.
I CAN ADJUST THE GOV ROD LENGTH TO GET THE VOLTAGE & HZ. WITH THE LOCK NUT TIGHT, IT CHANGES THE SPEED. (rod turns, spring twist).
Can someone going to "Q" help with this??? I am close, but I am missing something!
I will put it all back together, or leave the power box apart to connect the meters.

I'm thinking maybe the extra filter on the carb side is maybe starving it of gas,,
what did you set the high (the one on the bottom of the bowl) speed to ?
