He told me to go to any dealership, look at the vehicles and pick out one she liked. Write down the serial number and he would have it pulled from the lot. We did that and he had it the next day. Because we were pretty good friends, he got one of the execs to drive it for less than a 1000 miles and then Rich could buy it. Rich had to keep his name on the title for 6 months, to meet GM rules. So he wrote up a Power of Attorney affidavit for me on the car. At the end of the 6 months I just went to the BMV and transferred the title over to me. This was back in about 88 or so. The car I bought was a Z24 4-speed all the bells and whistles for a little over $11K and the sticker was over $16K
That was a great deal Jim.

My pickup is an 03 Ram 2500 5.9 6-speed and it's pushing 300,000 miles. I bought it new. No cat, no DPF, no EGR, and no DEF right from the factory. I wish I could just buy another one because it's rusting away badly. The prices are so high for even gassers with 100k+ miles, just stupid money.
