Thanks Jim. I looked all over and never found any good information on how it worked. Now it's on the WOG for future reference.

That info is on WOG somewhere!
I think i posted about it long ago.
But Allen,if you would start a new thread with the title something like ''Front electric heat in wide body" and post the pics and studd in that thread we will be able to search and find it later.
The area where its posted is hard to search,as you have found out.
Do you have time to do that?
In the Wide Body section?
Thanks pal!

Default Traveller is Topless

Taking advantage of the nice weather and available time to prep for painting above the drip rail. Yesterday I pulled the old rusty OTR air conditioner from Traveller’s roof and removed the goat rails as well. Today I’ll take the main awning assembly off as well.
Tracy and I both like the original look of the AC pod so I plan to paint and reassemble it but not sure what, if anything, I’ll put inside it. Initial thoughts are some outdoor stereo speakers and cool lights. What have others done?

Our previous bird...I rebuilt the box (it was cracked in many places) and put a led light bar in there. It's position to provide light out in front of the bus. Wired it to an accessory switch in the upper dash.

After pulling out the useless Splindide today I finished up the closet by turning it into a clothes closet. Next is to reconfigure of the rear closet by installing shelves for storage.

Default First weekend work

Just diving in to my new (to me) 93 WB. Spent the weekend cleaning up the wiring behind the dash (upper and lower), pulling out unused wires, removing some unneeded electronics, and discovering what more of the switches do

Ordered my new stereo - (Sony XAV-AX8000, I might post a new thread about that when it comes in), and generally started planning for the dash redo.

Meanwhile, my wife and I started getting our kitchen in order. Brought in the utensils and pots/pans and linens from the old trailer. Also got the memory foam mattress topper set up.

On the fun side (well, I had fun with the electrical stuff...), me, my wife, and our two adult kids played a couple of games and hung out drinking in it while it was parked out in front of our house. I also slept in it one night to try out the new mattress topper. All in all, started feeling like we are making it our own.

Default Big Move

We moved into our Bird full-time! Wish I had all of the fixes and upgrades done before hand, but I was time. Will probably be in here for at least 6 months (OK, so not really, permanently full-time) while I finish up school work and then move to ID. I guess this way we can sort of self-isolate and still move around the country!

Replaced pinion seal on the differential.if you have a seal leak be sure to check the rear end breather could be plugged up (dirt dauber ) mine was ok.a very handy trick to remember pack grease around spring that seals to the yoke. Beware that drive shaft is heavy.
