Would an Allison 3060 work with a 6V92 in a PT35?
Yes,the 3000 series is whats in your bus and the 380's,good for 400hp i think, maybe more.
Plenty of them around too,and all they need is a TPS hooked to the throttle, good to go.

The 3060 is rated for less than the MT654 I have now, but they are close. The 3060 has two overdrives so I would need to regear to a 5.13 or something crazy to use them. It might work fine with 400hp but they aren't rated for it according to the book. Just say'n.

Just because it has 6 speeds does not mean you have to use all 6.

Hay if Randy know of new ones put two in back to back
Not sure what you would get but this is about ideas
One more idea I used to have a truck with “brownie” box
Had over and under gears and mounted behind the trans

That's what I'm talking about! a TWO STICK WANDERLODGE!!!

This guy does it the right way... arm through the wheel and shifts both sticks at one time. I had forgotten just how rough those old trucks rode. That's a cabover, my long nose road better.

I don’t think any of these are a option except maybe a new 3000
I would boost the motor like you want then see how it works
There are a lot of changes happening all at once and the tranny doesn’t have to happen to
Get to WOG
I’m thinking there will be tweeting maybe a lot

I think I read in the past Mike H. puts 450HP through his 3060 trans. Perhaps he upgraded the trans during his rebuild.

My BMC Cummins has the Banks Stinger upgrade on it. Engine now produces 28 pounds of boost and somewhere around 380 HP.

No idea of torque produced on either engine combination.

I will have to look up the 3060 - perhaps the docs I read were old and they have updated it to take more power. Or maybe when you're only at half the rated 80,000lb weight you just get away with more power. I think as long as you don't abuse it during shifts either one will hold a lot more than the rated 300hp or so.

A 5.13 rear end with the 3060 would be the best combo. Much more from a stop, an extra gear in the middle, and would cruise 70mph at about 1800rpm in 6th, and allow me to run 75 or a little higher sometimes. I don't know how much smaller the 5.13 pinion would be, might become a weak point? I wouldn't do a 3060 by itself. I would end up using 4 gears all the time and never be able to use either overdrive.

Keeping the 654 and regearing to a 3.33 would lessen my takeoff gearing but give me similar cruising speeds.

The SP we put a 8.3 cummins in had a 5.29 rear screw,i saw the gps indicate 90mph in high gear at WOT.
The BMCs come with a 5.29 and a 3060 and a 8.3 which i guess is governed at 2400.

My guess is that getting the gear changes at the right RPMs on the 3060 will be the challange.
