Default Ready to roll!

This morning I put 2 new Costco 6V batteries and two T-105s that I have had for a year or so ( unused but on a battery minder ) into Shadow, replacing a 4 year old set of energizers (well, one was from last year). Things seem to be working properly.

I appreciate the info on battery capacity expectations, I think I want to go to an LP water heater also - I just need to figure out where and how.

I also changed the RACOR filter for the engine - it started up easily afterward. Earlier this morning I changed the engine air filter. Was going to do the generator also, but the filter I bought was too small.

Yesterday I made a run to flying J for propane and diesel. This was a test for the recently installed airbag and systems in general. Aside from an EL inverter being intermittent making the dash lighting inop, things went well.

At this point it is time to go grocery shopping and load out! We are departing for Q tomorrow morning !

David...
You have taken on a monumental task as a result of your unfortunate accident. I'm sure everyone here on WOG is pulling for you since it is evident your heart is in this rebuild project. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Timothy

I hope you are not using crimp connections on solid romex wiring?
Crimp on connections should only be used on stranded wire.

Generator battery charging solenoid conked out yesterday. Took it to the Bullhead City AZ O'reilly's and placed it on the counter. The middle aged counter man asked what it was out of. I said an old motorhome that won't be in your system. He says, is it the generator battery solenoid. Yes! He takes 3 steps back from the counter and hands me the correct solenoid. He says 3 of the counter men are ex-mechanics.
