Default Foretravel U320 38' vs Wanderlodge M380

I am looking for advice and thoughts comparing the Foretravel U320 38' vs. Wanderlodge M380 from similar vintages (early to mid 2000's). Advantages, disadvantages, features, drawbacks.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I’m gonna take a WAG and say that on a Wanderlodge forum you’re likely to get Rick’s answer more often than not. Most of us likely think you’ll get that same answer on most sob forums.

Along with Bob's WAG, my WAG would be the same as his but I doubt that many of us could intelligently make a comparison, because most if maybe not all have no clue about what a Foretravel U320 is about. Yes we may know what it is, but may never have owned one or maybe even been in one. I may have looked at Foretravel 10-12 years ago, before I bought my Wanderlodge, but can't recall a thing about them other than the name. So if you're looking to compare apples to apples, it is not likely to happen. If I recall there might be one owner here that has admitted to owning a Foretravel at some point in time, but I don't recall now who it was and don't even know if he is still around. Bottom line it would be hard to beat what an M-380 has to offer if that is where you are leaning. So you are just going to have to be the judge of which one is the best for you. Good luck in your search. Randy has two or three on his website. Click the banner above.

Default Best M380 “Feature”

Drive both and see which one speaks to you! Later FT’s are beautiful coaches (I’ve been in one) and I honestly don’t think you could error buying either make. However while I’ve never driven an FT, I can’t imagine a smoother, quieter, more fun to drive coach than the M380. It accelerates, tracks, stops and turns like no other. Every time I sit in the seat, it puts a smile on my face and that little kid inside peeks out . Find that “feature” in a coach and you should break out your checkbook!

Disclaimer: Believe it or not, I prefer the M380 but might be a little biased

I have always felt that Foretravels, while well built, were ugly compared to a Bluebird.

But you might get more unbiased opinions at the iRV2 forum. They are a great bunch but (here I go again) not as great a bunch as the WOG folks.

I'd like to see the Foretravel. Buy it and bring it to a BB rally.

Honest answer I don't have a clue. I've seen a couple and they certainly look like nice Motorhomes.

The PO sold me the 87, bought a newer model, LX I think. He had a bunch of grief got rid of it too, bought a Foretravel or Newell. I think it all depends on the condition of the coach.

I know he regrets selling the FC.
