Default follow up after bus in shop one problem

The truck service center was able to change all the fluids, belts. hoses and engine airfilter and air dryer.
Had one problem. Said that I have a small crack in the exhaust manifold. Said it would take two days to replace but could not give me a price. Will see how bad it s tomorrow when I pick up the bus. They told me it would be OK to take the bus to Florida and back, guess about 3000 miles. Will the manifold have to be replaced or repaired?
Thanks,
Nelson

Depending on where the crack is, even a small leak can damage nearby components or wiring. A friend of mine had a small exhaust manifold leak near the alarmstat that controls the radiator fan and the heat melted the plastic part of the alarmstat and it shorted to ground. On the other side of the engine, a crack near the DDEC could potentially damage several wires in that area.
